2023 - Ryan Roberts

The first scholarship winner for 2023 is Ryan Roberts. Ryan, a baseball player, has a positive outlook on life while overcoming challenges on and off the field. He has learned how to be successful through personal matters and wants to go into the medical field. Congratulations, Ryan!

2023 - Arianna Garcia Torres

The second scholarship winner for 2023 is Arianna Garcia Torres. After the devastating loss of her sister to cancer in 2020, she has chosen to channel that energy into helping others and is in the pursuit of becoming a nurse. We admire her strength and commitment to others!

2022 - Grayson Dietz

The first scholarship winner for 2022 goes to Grayson Dietz. Grayson is surrounded by brothers who all love to play golf. He participates in Special Olympics with his brother Devin so that Devin can find joy in the sport, too. They share a deep bond and Grayson has learned a lot from living with someone with autism. He will be a history major at University of Oregon - Go Ducks!

2022 - Jolee Aguilera

The second of two scholarship recipients for 2022 is Jolee Aguilera. Jolee is a multi-sport student athlete who plans to pursue a psychology degree at her dream school - San Diego State University! She is described by her teachers as a natural leader who elevates those around her. Jolee is brave and determined and we know she will do great things.

2021 - Andres Rocha Jayasinha

The 2021 scholarship recipient is Andres Rocha Jayasinha. Andres is an active member of the Morgan Hill community, having volunteered with Cecilia's Closet, St. Vincent de Paul, Morgan Hill Get Fit as well as Live Oak's math club. He is also captain of the wrestling team, and will continue his wrestling career while pursuing a major in mathematics at either San Jose State University or Cal Poly. Andres represents a commitment to family, hard work, and a gracious attitude. Congrats, Andres!

2020 - Gillian McCaw

We are honored to announce the first ever recipient of the Ryan O’Rourke Stay Strong Scholarship for 2020! This year’s recipient is Gillian McCaw, Live Oak class of ‘20. Gillian embodies the ‘stay strong’ mentality, having overcome adversity while earning a 4.64 GPA and participating in Cross Country and Track & Field for the Acorns. She plans to use the $2,500 scholarship to help earn a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
